This coming 28th March, participate in Earth Hour 2009 to show our support against global warming.. I'm sure most of you have read or heard about this Earth Hour.. What's all the hype all about? Well, in the year 2007 citizens in Sydney Australia decided to make a stance against global warming.. So on 31st March 2007, the whole of Sydney went to darkness, not because of power failure but because everyone (2.2 million people actually) decided to switch off their lights for an hour.. The event caught the attention of the world and it became a headline.. The following year, more people participated this event, globally.. It was estimated that 50 million people had joined hands to make a statement, to join the Earth Hour movement in 2008..
Being in it's 3rd year, we're hopeful that more people will join in this event.. WWF Malaysia has done some serious promoting and stuff.. So on 28th March, for just an hour, from 8.30pm till 9.30pm, do make a stand and turn off all your lights (except essential ones) and hopefully such an act will do something to stop global warming..
