The end of all things good..

Well, this week has been one hectic but fun and crazy week for me.. Yup, after all the planning, toiling, obstacles and challenges; my AIMST friends managed to come down to Seremban.. Haha.. 5 days they were here, 5 days that went by so totally fast.. Time flies when your having fun; thus I conclude time slows down when u r not having fun.. XD

The 6 who made it were Adrian, Thurini, Hooi Yim, Shamineey, Nicole and John.. Well, John came on Tuesday afternoon, the others Monday night.. Haha.. Had great fun with this random bunch of people.. Went jalan-jalan in Seremban on Tuesday together with Eric, A Famosa and Melaka on Wednesday where we were joined by Betty and Faisal and finally to Midvalley and KL where we met Jit Kin, Kang Wei, Chia Wen, Yi Cheng, Diing Sheng and Joey.. Also not forgetting my parents and my younger bro who were in the mix for most of the trip.. Friday was more of a relaxing day where we end up in Port Dickson before they all went back at night to Penang..

It was like soooo fun.. All the things that we did, playing Mafia, Donkey, pillow fights and the oh so randomness of tricking Adrian that we're going Genting.. Haha, sorry bro! =) And when they left, haiz.. The place suddenly felt soooo empty.. No more noises, no more shoes lying around, no more jumping on the bed to wake people up.. =( All good things have to come to an end; but u know when u get sooooo accustomed to the care-free life, u wished it did stay like that forever..

So to all my friends who came, thank you.. At least u all made my holiday and I'm sure I made yours.. Until the next random trip to somewhere else, I'll be sitting at home and growing moss.. Pictures better be up.. XD

Penang was..

GREAT!!!! HAHAHA!!!

It was superb.. 3 days of fun fun fun.. No worries, nothing.. It was me, her and our friends.. LOL!!

Prom was superb.. Only problem it was a bit cramped.. Food was great.. Performances were awesome.. Atmosphere was good.. So in conclusion, it was money well spent..

Other than that, Penang was just uber.. Food for cheap price, lepak-ing here and there, staying in an apartment (i got the floor thou.. @.@) and Adrian's house (that's one big house..) Plus spending time with her.. Was really precious.. And all happy memories.. Not to mention a few shit us guys did (as usual)

Now I look back to reality.. Piling homework, assignments and more exams coming up.. Plus loads of other things to do.. Luckily a few events are already over, especially the Hosteller's Night (which turned out to be vy vy good in the end)..

Submitted application for a scholarship.. Not putting up much hope but hey, God works in mysterious ways.. Speaking of that, there's a CF Retreat coming up.. And a mini youth concert in church.. Not to mention Good Friday, Easter Sunday, etc..

Time to hit the books.. I'm hungry.. T.T

Saya sudah kembali..

THIS IS JASON TAN REPORTING BACK IN SEREMBAN, SIR!!!

That's right people, yours truly has come back to the Land of Siew Pau.. Reached back here around 8pm last night and then went straight for a movie, G-Force.. Not an awesome movie but still had a nice laugh.. =p

My holiday is a short one thou, it's actually up to Wednesday but by Tuesday night I'm going back.. A few reasons for this thou:
1) Class on Wednesday was canceled after I purchased my ticket.. Grr...
2) Thursday is going to be a long long long day..
3) I've volunteered for the 2nd Asian Youth Kabadi Championship, so that's going to take up a lot of my time..
So going back early seems to be a good thing, at least I can tidur during Wednesday.. Haha..

And coming back, thou for holidays = no holidays for me.. 2 assignments, 12 Histology drawings and a bunch of revision to do.. Not to mentioned my exam is like 3 weeks away.. Gosh, time sure flies.. During holidays was like urg... So slow.. Now, ALAMAK, NO TIME!!

So hopefully I can maximize my holidays.. Yam cha gang, call me out when u guys are free!! XD

To Penang.. Again..

Well, as most of u would have known, I left for Penang on Monday and came back about 5 something yesterday evening.. So how was the trip? Pretty fun and nice.. Not much people since we went on a weekday.. So driving was pretty smooth.. Plus the idea of being 'lost' in Penang can be at times fun and confusing.. LOL!!

So left Seremban about 3pm with Wen Shan, Jong Hoong and Choong Meng, Wen Shan being the driver (have to thank him a lot, seriously, driving over 900km is no easy task!!).. Reach KL about 4pm and all of us except Khoo enjoyed (or more like searching for something) in Jalan Imbi.. After that left KL for Penang at around 7.30pm.. Travelling at night is sooo much more cooler (as in temperature) and nicer, since maybe u can speed a little without getting caught.. Stop by at Bidor to have our dinner, Wan Tan Mee.. Boy, gotta be the most expensive Wan Tan Mee I've ever ate, but it's soooo worth it.. Delicious.. Continued our journey and hit the ferry around 11.30pm.. It's nice sitting on the ferry at night, u get to see the night lights on both the island and the mainland.. So in the end reached our 'hotel', YMCAPG around 12.30am.. Headed for supper, Bak Kut Teh at 1am.. Haha.. And then lights out, kinda.. Couldn't sleep till 4am.. LOL!!

Next day, went to market in Penang road for breakfast and walk around the area.. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.. Places we hit was a second hand book store and KOMTAR.. After a short nap we head for the Cheong Fat Tze Mansion.. It's a mansion alright.. Super huge, imagine a house with 220 windows.. =S And a guy with 8 wives.. Quite a nice tour and a good tour guide.. So money well spent.. Batu Ferringhi was next, just lepak at the beach, taking photos.. After that dinner at Gurney Drive, at some hawker centre, delicious food.. And lepak for a while around Gurney and in Gurney Plaza.. Was dead tired after that and everyone hit the sacks early (midnight is early)..

And on the final day.. Again breakfast, more like brunch at the same place on Penang Road.. Then headed to a some places to buy some biscuits and stuff and a drive back to Seremban.. Was about 12.30pm when we hit the ferry.. A late lunch at Burger King and reached Seremban around 5.30pm.. After that, back to the normal, routine, boring life..

Penang was so much fun.. Maybe a little short, should have make it 4 days but well, it was a fun trip.. Will try to get some pics up once I get them from my friends.. Have a nice day.. =)

3 days of tiring enjoyment

So the last 3 days has been really busy but fun for me.. Went to Genting on Monday.. Could have been wrong timing cause the cable car, flying coaster and corkscrew were all under maintenance.. Like so rugi only.. But who cares, still at least space shot was operational.. And Genting was as usual, weekday or not it's loaded with people.. Mostly tourist from other countries, and of course the queues for the games, well, are long but not as long like school holidays and all..

Enjoyed there la.. Plus for quite cheap prices also.. I think I spent less than RM 100 for transport, ticket and accommodation.. LOL!! Won't get those kind of deals in Genting anymore, and even if there is, it'll sure be fully booked..

Came back on tuesday and yesterday went to PD with 13 others.. 12 actually, 1 came later.. Played paint ball.. It was exciting, fun and tiring.. Try running while in full gear of armour, a gun and thinking at the same time.. Thou it was a bit expensive, like not worth it and all, but well, for the experience it should be alright.. PD has nothing to eat, not like Seremban.. And everything there is like expensive, especially the banana boat.. Tell u that was a rip off, we sorta like got conned la.. Thought we heard RM 20 per boat, turned out to be RM 20 per person and was like.. Er.. Oh well, lesson learnt, in life, people will still take advantage of u, whether ur a local, tourist, student, whatever la.. Overall it was ok, not a bad trip but next time for paint ball, we play TT Sports park, it's like 2.5 times cheaper over there.. LOL!!

So after all those enjoying days, it's back to plain old work for me again.. Most of my friends, yeah, not working or stop working ady.. However i'm working for Family Pte. Ltd. so yeah, no choice kan? LOL!! And tomorrow somebody is flying off to India to do her medical degree.. So all the best, good luck and go go find a bollywood actor CC!! GAMBATEH!!

Penang!! Been there!! Done that!!

Hello world!!! Sorry to all those avid readers out there, the reason why I didn't update my blog is because I didn't had any internet service since my last post.. Not that I never pay my bills, just that the place I went for holiday had no internet service, and partly I was lazy to walk to the CC la.. LOL.. So let's begin with the updates for the past week..

So after Ipoh, I went down to my cousin's place in Kulim.. For those of you figuring where in the world Kulim is, it's a border town between Penang and Kedah.. Kulim is in Kedah and it's like our Senawang here, only 10x bigger and better.. It's really blossoming into a high-tech city.. Why stay at Kulim? Cheaper cause u wouldn't wanna stay 1 week in a hotel in Penang..

Food in Kulim, well, nothing to show about really, but Bukit Mertajam is nearby.. Just about 10 minutes drive.. And here I would like to tell you all about the Big Tree.. OK, there's food stalls under this Big Tree, kinda of Cherry Tree here.. And the food here is fantasting!! Laksa, ABC, Lobak, Wan Tan Mee, u name it, they got it.. Nothing much left thou, just staying at my cousin's house with 2 nephews and 2 nieces.. Nice house but of couse noisy with the children around.. =p

Next stop Penang.. Penang as we all know is supposely the food heaven.. However, dun be fooled.. U muz really find the good places to eat, then only it's food heaven, otherwise it's just another typical town food.. I drove to Penang actually, LOL.. Of course with my parent's guidance la, but to drive on the Penang Bridge is a really cool feeling.. Haha.. You can even go to Penang by the ferry, and believe me it's a lifetime experience.. Pricing is about the same, 70 cents difference and you only pay for one way, which is into the island.. Coming out is free..

So where did I went in Penang.. 1st, coincidentally there was an Education Fair at the Gurney Hotel, and it's mostly for Public Unis.. Perfect timing huh? So I managed to gather quite a number of info from there.. Near Gurney Hotel there's a corner shop that sells biscuits, choclates, etc.. And boy their biscuits rock.. Simply delicious.. Then there's Penang Street, where it's a very nice place to shop, not the cheapest thou, but tourist flock the area like ants to a sugar.. Next I'll recommend Penang Hill.. Here's the irony of it.. Firstly, it was my 1st time to Penang hill and it was free on that day.. If you've been reading the papers, and it was the 1st day it was operational till all the way up to the top.. Very refreshing, not that cold, and you get a perfect will of the whole Penang Island.. Plus, the tram up the hill is cool.. You get to say some beauties of mother nature.. The final stop is Air Itam.. Trust me, if you're a shopaholic looking for good bargains, this is the place to be.. It's your very own Petaling Street, and it's on the way up to a temple, called the Tortoise Temple.. Seriously, there's tortoise when you reached at the end of your shopping spree.. There's a nice Asam Laksa shop around the corner of Jalan Pasar, itz freaking cheap and freaking delicious.. Haha.. =p

So in short people, go to Penang.. It's a nice place to visit, if you know where to go.. Who knows, I can be your free tour guide there.. Wakaka.. Till then people, happy reading!! And happy holidays!!

Update!!!!!

Well, firstly let me apologise to u all that I've been out of contact for the last, er... 5 days of so.. A very simple truth, I'm on holiday people.. Even bloggers need holiday OK.. Where I am, you may ask? 300km up north in Ipoh, that's my answer.. LOL!! So let me give u a quick recap on what I've been doing for the last 5 days..

Arrived Ipoh at 8.00pm after a long horendous journey in the bus, no thanks to the rain and traffic jams.. Once reached here, I straight went to SMI, see the gang at La Salle Centre and went off for a dinner.. Nice place for dinner thou, except the RM 6 for an ABC, that's road killed man.. After that, I spend the night at my friend's place, Aaron, cause it was too dangerous to go back down south, to my aunt's place..

Second day came and I was nearly killed, litterally.. I was boarding this bus to go back Gopeng (or Gipang as my niece call it, LOL!!) after breakfast when this one nut case of a bus driver just reversed suddenly.. This happened when I was BOARDING the bus.. Screw man, I had to jump down with full luagage on me.. Next thing I know I was chasing the f**cking bus, jumping onto it when it was running away.. This bus driver I tell u drives crazilly and have no courtesy at all.. I seriously bet with you he's on drugs.. I was glad when I got off it.. Then my cousin took Narvin and me to my aunt's house, where it became our 'den' for the next few days.. Had nice 'lui zha fan' or in other words, a traditional dish to the Hakka people.. Dinner w as at my cousins place, and if you come here, and eat at his place, you'll won't believe the amount you'll be paying for the food portions you're getting..

Next day, I went to Gua Tempurung, a very nice place for cave exploring.. It's a new experience for me, and very interesting!! The caves structures and the way you had to fight the way in the water was just awesome.. Of course, I was wet from top to bottom and with a nice price to pay, my HP.. Soaked from inside out, but a worthy sacrifice.. Ate at more new places, testing more and more new food.. Then I went to watch the Heritage Play at SMI.. And this time, the play really blow the roof off, it was just superb, amazing, fantastic, whatever words you can describe it.. LA SALLE ROCKS!!! This was followed by a drinking session, and well, two mugs are just nice for me..

Thursday I ate at the best place where you can get the best white coffee in town.. And the best it was.. Then I went to visit my friend in Ipoh, Ui Li.. We had a great time with my brother and Narvin.. Watched The Day The Earth Stood Still at Kinta City (aka Jusco).. Superb movie, worth every penny.. Bowling followed up next and believe it or not, Narvin haven't bowled in his 19 years of life.. Amazing huh.. But he did a nice bowl, 71 in the 1st game and 88 in the 2nd game.. Night had a nice dinner followed by a nice cool off at home..

And finally it brings us to today, nice Nasi Kandar for lunch.. U seriously gotta eat that.. Then we went to Bidor to buy some chicken biscuits, I can't translate it properly.. (Kai Zhai Peng) Dropped by Kampar to find the ever famous Claypot Chicken Rice and then came back home to eat that at Lawan Kuda.. And here I am, blogging about the remains of the days.. Haha..

Tomorrow I'm off to Penang, and another food whacking spree will be ensured.. Gosh, I'm getting fat, I think.. =p Who cares, holidays man!! ENJOY!!!
