Holidays are great... XD

Holidays has been enjoying.. Seriously enjoying.. OK, other than sleeping in, eating like a pig and er.. Doing nothing.. Practically that's about it.. But it sure hell beats the crap out of study life.. XD
*grumbles at the pile of assignments*

So Chelsea got knocked out.. Ouch, that's going to hurt.. Hmm, after Real Madrid the main contenders left are MU (obviously), Arsenal, Barcelona and maybe Bayern + Lyon (well, cause they beat Real Madrid).. So who's your money on?? Of course, all shall be known with the draw by Friday.. Imagine, if two of the big teams clash with each other, who knows what catastrophe mayhem will ensure?? XD Glory Glory MAN UNITED!!!

Things with her is going good.. It's going to be our one month together already.. As I said earlier (don't know got mentioned or not); my parents already accepted the fact that now I have a gf.. Next thing is to convince them to accept her.. Still working on it.. On her end, well, let's hope things are really going to for the better.. *not going to reveal it here*

My last term is starting soon.. Wow, time really flies.. Plus I got loads of events to do when I get back.. Hosteller's Nights (26/3), Prom Night (27/3), Church Mini Youth Concert (3/4), CF Retreat (9/4-11/4).. It's going to be packed packed packed!! I think after the Retreat, I'll call it a day.. After that, must seriously get going to studies.. I mean, 2 more months to final after that Retreat, crap.. And here I was thinking what happened to my STPM holidays??? T.T

Politics - crappier as ever that I don't bother to read it.. However, today's headlines about Pakatan's fake September 16th really caught my eye.. Who's telling the truth only God knows.. However, Pakatan is really losing their footing.. The internal bickering is not really brightening their chances.. Oh well, best go with the incumbents.. Although you and I know that's not really a good choice either.. In Thailand, things look terrible.. So to all my friends going Thailand for holidays, take good care of yourselves.. Don't wanna see you get caught in those riots..

That's all the updates for now.. XD

Ramdom blabbling...

Come to think of it, I'm getting lazier and lazier to update my blog lately.. Guess I just lost interest in it, or just because what's nice to update?

Same old, same old.. Preparing for uni, counting the days of boredom left, eat, sleep, do the normal human stuff.. Plus my working days are practically over.. Of course, lately I've been hooked on manga.. Proof --> I finished the entire Naruto Shipsuden series under 1 week!!! Now I guess I'll have to start on something new, maybe I should reach Bleach.. Haha.. Finish that in 2 weeks.. LOL!!

Wonder how all my friends are doing in uni.. Are they able to adapt? Will they enjoy it there? Well, guess they should be fine in their respective courses and unis.. Although I did get some early feedbacks.. The dorm sucks, there's lacking of facilities, orientation cacat, this and that.. Well, I guess nothing is perfect in this world, and after all we're looking at local uni.. Maintenance might not be top class.. And so is the service.. I read a comment by a reader on Tuesday.. Seems that they was a technical glitch at one of the universities, a top one some more, delaying the registration process by up to 6 hours.. LOL!!! And thoughts that we learned our mistake after the USM fiasco..

Speaking on the USM fiasco, that could be one of the many reasons why some students *ahem ahem* couldn't get a place in public university.. Thanks to that glitch, some 4500 students had to be given a place because the gov promised to do so.. This 4500, acording to reports, are just people who made the minimum requirements.. So well, since they had to give, the 4500 deserving students who were supposedly to get a place were left out cold.. One of the teachers commented, "It's the gov problem if USM screw up, they can't make the students pay for their mistake. If they make a promise, they should find a way to keep that promise without jeopardising other students." Nicely said, guess that will be one of those comments that would never make it up top..

And MU signed Michael Owen.. What's up with that?? OK, look at it as this way, MU signed him for free and at a reduced wage structure (heard it was a pay as u play basis).. And if Owen can rediscover his form that made him such a feared footballer 5 years ago, then yes, it's seriously a good signing for MU.. What's next for MU?? Maybe they should sign some very good players in very needed departments, like Joao Moutinho, Sergio Aguero and Douglas Costa.. Then maybe we won't miss CR that much.. Haha.. And anyone noticed, that in this bad economy, Real Madrid is spending money like water.. Imagine if all those millions were used on a better cause for humanity.. Think about it.. =p

Arrivals and Departures

Shifting the focus now on the footballing world..

Carlos Tevez is leaving Manchester United and possibly to local rivals Manchester City.. I wished he did stay at MU, he was quite a player, not the best but his determination, personality and work rate is just amazing.. And I was certain that with Ronaldo's departure, he would stay since the opportunity for him in the first team will like brighten up.. Alas, although MU was willing to meet the £25.5 million needed to secure his services as well as making him one of the highest paid players in MU, Tevez has other plans of his own..

So what now? Ronaldo gone (never gonna miss him one bit) and now Tevez.. Suddenly it looks like everything is going from bad to worse for MU.. Their two key players over the last two seasons suddenly disappear.. Have no fear, Alex Ferguson is here.. I'm sure he'll do some nice purchases during the summer.. There are talks that a £30 million bid was put up front for Karim Benzema.. Not to mention the £17 million for Antonio Valencia and also possibly Ribery.. Marcel Desailly has urged Fergie to bid "as much as it takes" to purchase Ribery.. The former French international has put him as the top two wingers in the world, the other being, you guessed it, Ronaldo..

The summer transfer rumours has been buzzing a lot (I'm just talking about MU).. Here are a list of potential arrivals and departures.. (some sound pretty bizzare if u ask me)

Arrivals:
Iker Casillas
Ashley Young
Douglas Costa
Fernando Torres
Sergio Aguero
Samuel Eto'o
David Silva
Arjen Robben
David Villa
Joao Moutinho
and the 3 stated above - Antonio Valencia, Frank Ribery and Karim Benzema

Departures:
Nemanja Vidic
Nani
Fraizer Campbell
Darron Gibson
Danny Simpson
Gary Neville
Paul Scholes
and of course the two who already have left - Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez

Gotta agree with me, some do look ridicolous.. Oh well, they still be 2 months of buzzling activity especially when the window opens in July.. Let's just keep a close watch and see what happens.. =p

Bye-bye Ronaldo, see ya, wouldn't wanna miss ya..

It's been a week since Manchester United agreed a fee for their superstar and World Footballer of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo.. £80 million, that's a lot of money to anyone, even to the likes of Bill Gates.. A few question remains thou.. Was he worth that much? Will MU take a turn for the worse? Will Ronaldo give the same performance which sparked his heavy price tag? Who'll replace him?

Let's look at the sum.. Sepp Blatter recently said that it's good since it shows that the footballing world still has a market.. Well, we can remember that guy for saying that MU was treating Ronaldo as a slave and also his remark on woman's football.. Not to mention he was the one who said that large sum of cash is ridicolous when buying a player a few years back.. So thank you Blatter but I think you should just keep your trap shut and retire for good..

Any player at his prime will command a high transfer fee, remember Luis Figo in 2000 and then Zinedine Zidane in 2001?? One would have imagine such fees wouldn't be possible again, especially with last year's economy crunch.. Guess Real Madrid had plans of their own.. After spending £55 million on Kaka just a few days ago, they took the world by storm with the purchase of Ronaldo.. Not to mention their near purhcase of David Villa for nearly £40 million.. Come to think of it, I think they've been robbing a bank or something.. To fund so much transfer.. Guess that'll blow their transfer kitty for the next 5 years.. Was it worth it? I think not, Ronaldo is overated.. Like totally.. Sure he gives a great show and score spectacular goals, but he's so full of himself.. I echo Zidane's opinion, "Selling Ronaldo could be the best thing that happens to MU!!"

"Selling your best players doesn't make you a better club"; that was someone's saying.. True to some extend.. However not in most cases.. When MU sold Beckham in 2003, everyone was saying "There goes the team".. Same case when Van Nistelrooy was sold in 2006.. I think there's a trend going on in MU, 2009 Ronaldo is gone.. And where's MU today?? 3 consetutive times league champions, European champions 2008 and runners-up 2009 and the first English club to win the World Club Championships.. And the trophys will just keep pouring in.. MU still has Rooney, Carrick, Berbatov, hopefully Tevez and young uprising lads such as Macheda, Gibson, the Da Silva twins, Anderson, Nani (hopefully) just to name a few.. So yeah, losing Ronaldo could be a blow, but there's only one player you wouldn't be able to replace in MU, Sir Alex Ferguson.. That's right, the manager himself..

Will Ronaldo live up to his price tag? Probably so.. However, history has a habit of repeating itself and many big money moves have turn up flops.. Veron wasn't that good, Robinho is on and off at times, Shevchenko has a torrid time at Chelsea and a lot more examples.. Zidane even state that Ronaldo might be pressured into performing while Quieroz (Portugal manager) isn't too happy that Ronaldo jumped the ship.. Not to mention what happen if you put Kaka and Ronaldo together.. Remember Lampard and Gerrard in the 2006 World Cup? We all have to wait for next season and see for ourselves..

And to who will replace him? I have to agree here, it'll be quite hard to replace a player, thou cocky and full of himself, as good as Ronaldo.. I guess the same was said when Cantona retired and Roy Keane happily filled that role.. Somebody will come eventually, either from the academy or some big signing.. Already rumours are spreading that Antonia Valencia, Frank Ribery and David Silva will be joining MU.. The first is almost confirmed, the price tag on the second is totally ridicolous and the third, well, not much on him either.. How about other buys? MU could use another good, hard battling midfielder and possibly a lethal striker.. Benzema's name has been ringing bells and even Torres's name came up.. As for the midfielder, if Hagreaves can recover that's good news, if not, we need another Roy Keane and fast.. =p

Overall, I think MU will do just fine next season.. I'm positive the Gaffer will spend the cash wisely and also on good purchases, he won't be as dumb to blow it all up on one player.. As for the title challenge, I see Liverpool will come close next season, possibly be brushed off at the very end.. After all, last season was a thriller!!
