The dead blog that came back to live!!

Goodness, my last post was last October.. Seriously I have left this blog dead for too long.. Haha.. Guess it's time to start it up again.. However I really can't think of anything to post at the moment. So here is just a little update since last October.

Currently in my 4th year Term 2 of my MBBS Course, with another exam looming next week.. I've passed most of my papers from my 1st CA, failed one but I still thank God that I am able to sit for finals.. University is just bad as usual, so many lecturers leaving, I have no idea what the management is up to and Jaya food is well, being Jaya food.. And they can ask why so many students are leaving the hostel.. Get the hint already!!

Christmas was awesome, our AIMST CF Christmas Gig was a success again, all glory to God.. Chinese New Year was even more awesome despite the dwindling amounts of ang pau.. XD And I found a new hobby, posting pictures of food.. Haha.. Sound like your typical Malaysian but somehow it brings me joy to be able to share good food with the world.. And now I even have a group of friends who are 'torturing' each other with good food.. LOL!!

Seremban has grown a lot, lots of new shops, new hangout places, yet it still retains the slow pace live that most of us lack these days. Sungai Petani has a new mall, Amanjaya Mall and a few new shops opened.. So much has changed in the 4 years that I've been here.. Haha..

CF and Church (SPCC) has really grown, praise be to God.. The new committee has been formed, officially indicating my 'retirement' as P of the CF.. I really thank God for an awesome team, for the amount of changes our CF has gone through, new ideas that have been success and I pray that more will happen.. Church members have steadily been on the rise.. I'm now one of the student leaders there and even the assistant worship leader.. If you asked me when I first got here would I even be in the worship team I'll be like NEVER.. However God has a funny way of using us, and here I am guiding the juniors as I myself prepare to move on to Alor Setar..

Apart from that, I made new friends from the medical conference I attended back in September, hope to attend many more, missed out on the world in US because the cost became too high.. There's one coming up in April and another one in September, really hope I can attend these two to make up for the one I missed..

I guess that's a brief update on me for the past 6 months.. Until then.. =D

A vy late update for year 2011.. =p

Every time I tell myself I'll update this blog of mine, it never happens.. I'm getting lazier and lazier by the day to do anything, to update blog, to study, to eat at times.. Yeah, can't believe it right?? To eat.. Haha.. Seriously, sometimes I don't even go down for breakfast and dinner, just stay in the room only.. XD

Anyhow, the past year (and yes, this is a super late post) has been one with ups and downs.. In a way, I was glad that most of the events that I managed was a success.. My proudest one is the AIMST Hosteller's Nite 2011.. Being the chairman for an event for the first time is really really tough, hectic and whole lot of scary.. You have to deal with so many people, meet so many deadlines and so forth.. The planning, preparation, getting funds, getting the appropriate contacts.. However, all praise and glory to our Lord, for He was good and He ensured everything went well that night.. And of course a BIG BIG THANK YOU to all my committee members who toiled sweat and 'blood' to make it a success..

Christmas Gig last year was also another highlight. .First time in campus, first time with such a large audience.. Praise be to God!! Not forgetting Mega Cultural Night 2, International Medical Quiz, CF Retreat and loads more.. Passing my Year 2 was of course a big relief.. 7 subjects over the span of 3 weeks.. Scary.. Haha.. And lots and lots of other goods stuff which will be too much to be noted down..

Of course it's not a year without sorrows too.. The year I broke up with my gf.. The year where a few of my seniors finally graduated and I really miss them all.. T.T The year where many shit also happened, to myself, my family, my friends, my country.. However in all things I believe God is always ever present in our midst of troubles and sorrows.. And thanks to Him, I have become a stronger and better person.. Still learning everyday thou.. =)

MBBS 3rd Year is a year where I think I'm enjoying the most, and still am.. Haha.. Which is soooo not good.. =p It's fun to see patients and all but no fun when you have to read lecture notes and finish up log books.. And sit for exams.. Stress wei stress.. Haha.. I really hope I learn much more and cure my laziness in the process.. Do keep me in prayer yeah.. =p

Current status: Coughing + running nose but on the road to recovery.. Tons of notes to study, backlogging since last year + log books to complete..

So yeah, till next time.. =D

To my friends who have left..

Last Saturday, I saw a few of my good friends, seniors, graduated from AIMST University.. It was a joyous moment, to see each and everyone of them finally getting their scrolls, ending their 5 years of long struggle.. And to start a whole new journey that some have yet to embrace.. And thou it was a joyous occasion; parents smiling, lecturers beaming, friends happy; yet part of me feels sad.. Sad not because something bad has happened, in fact everything went well.. Sad because I know I won't be seeing them again in this university; never again to see them in the Medical Building or the Library, no longer attending and worshiping together in CF and Church, no longer going out for late night suppers and random Penang trips..

It pains me to see them leave, to see them gone from this place and God knows when I will see them again.. Yet as much as I want them to stay, stay as long as they can, I'm just being selfish.. Our Father in Heaven knows what's best for them, He was kind enough to put them here, to make me meet them and to know them, to feel such warmth and comfort that I've not felt in years from friends, to impact my life so greatly that it has forever changed.. And now their time has come for this place, and the Father is going to put them in another place, where other people too will have a chance to experience what I have experience, a once in a lifetime opportunity.. =') (yes, it's tears of joy)

Now seeing their cars leaving campus one by one, as we bid our goodbyes, the ending was tough.. I am not an emotional person, I rarely cry unless the situation really really moves me.. However this time, I let the tears flow freely from my eyes.. I was holding back, I tried so hard to control my emotions but here I am, still watering as I type every letter out on this blog of mine.. I know I won't be seeing them again, at least not for now.. However I believe that our Father in Heaven is kind and merciful, for He will definitely do something for us to meet up once again.. All we have to do is be patient and wait for the right time to come..

As I go back to my university life with another 3 more years to go, I know that the last 2 years + with them have been good, the experiences, the memories, the joy and the advises I have received are unforgettable.. Thus I wish them all the best in their future careers, in whatever they do.. May the Lord bless all of you in everything that you do.. And may you enjoy your the new chapter in your lives, as doctors and dentist to the Malaysian community..

To Dr. Koo Thomson, Dr. Gloria Liaw, Dr. Phebe Ting and Dr. Jickson Ng, I wish u all the best!! Be the best doctors you all can be!! I'm going to miss you all, so bad that I will just tear thinking about it.. However, as Hebrews 13:7 says "Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith," I will continue your good work that you have done in this campus and I'm sure all of us here will too.. And I'm even doubly sure that you all will do what you all do best, impacting people's life beyond their wildest imagination.. God bless you all.. AMEN!! =)

The insignificant things do matter.. =)

Sometimes God can make u realize things that you think it's so small and insignificant, you think it's not even worth bothering about.. Wrong mentality I would say..

You know, at one point I was so depressed during my hospital postings that I thought I wasn't cut it out for medicine.. Cuz everything that the lecturer ask or tell, I have no single clue.. That was this one time where I felt like a complete idiot that I thought to myself; "Hey, this is not my calling, I can't even answer simple question let alone go out there and cure patients in the future." I literally had that thought running through my head and it was shit scary..

However, God sort of reminded me why am I here in the first place.. It was yesterday, just another ordinary day at the hospital.. Going around clerking patients, hoping to find a good case and present it well.. And somehow I found joy again in what I was doing.. Everything just went write yesterday, sought off, from the clerking to answering the questions to actually seeing the patients.. The feeling was like "Wow, yeah this is what I want to do." Immediately, I snapped out from my depressed mode and back to my normal self.. And I begin to understand what is being taught in the lecture (actually, I've started reading my lectures, that's why.. LOL!!) and that make things easier..

So leave it to God to decide your path in your life.. Sometimes you might think it is not meant to be but God has a bigger plan for you in your life that you just don't see it yet.. I guess I caught a glimpse of it already.. I pray that I would be able to pull through it, after all God wouldn't put you in a situation that He knows you can't handle.. Thank you God for waking me up, again.. Amen..

MBBS 3rd Year

My first week of 3rd year just ended.. Time really flies.. And it's flying like crazy.. By coming Thurs I'll have another 10 days of holidays for Raya, before I know I'll be moving onto my next posting n then onward to exams, more postings n after that, finals.. =.=" Scary shit wei..

Currently I'm posted in the Surgical Department in Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (aka SP Hospital) My overall first week experience is fun, interesting, tiring n sometimes scary.. Y scary?? Well, I finally learned the importance of your pre-clinical knowledge during clinical years.. Imagine the doctors asking u 10 questions n all u can do is stare dumbly at the ceiling, waiting for a divine answer as one doctor put it.. Feel so dumb man.. So I made myself to promise that I would work hard for clinical years.. Not to mention that my mentor is the Deputy Dean of Clinical and I'll probably get my butt kicked if I don't do well.. (so pressuring wei.. =.=!!)

Apart from studies, other parts of my life here in uni are going pretty well so far.. CF is taking a turn for the better and I'm glad I'm part of it.. I really want to bring it up, to where it was before and I'm sure all the other members also feel the same way.. Also to look after our juniors, ensuring they are moving in the path of God.. =) I am still single for now.. And no immediate plans to go back into a relationship so fast.. Guess part of me is suited to be single.. =p And church is good, I'm in the P&W team now and I'll be giving my all for the glory of God.. =D

So this will be my lone update for now.. Dunno when the next one will be but hopefully not too long.. =p Take care peeps.. =D

End of my holidays.. T.T or =D

Well, my holidays are fast approaching to an end.. In another 24 hours I'll be leaving for AIMST.. Or actually halfway there.. Stopping by at Kulim for a night before going back.. Haha.. However this holidays has been a good one.. Not too long, not too short.. Thou somehow I'm beginning to get accustom of not having to sit n study every night.. >.<

Met some old friends which I have not seen for a long time, catch up with people that I missed the most, head to places where I have never been in ages.. Yup.. Tat's probably my holidays.. And finally finished reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown about 10 mins ago.. Haha.. Finally it is done after 1 year I bought that book.. Blame it both on my laziness n my tight schedule.. =p

3rd year.. What am I to expect? Interesting stuff I hope.. =) I'll be starting with Surgery posting and as I have heard, it is one of the most interesting postings out there.. Guess it will be cool to see various types of surgeries n stuff that can be cured by it.. Of course I have to prepare myself better, no more last minute studying, no more going out the night before exam, no more excessive computer hours n randomness.. Yeah right.. That defines me.. Haha.. However I do hope one thing, TO LOSE WEIGHT!! Damn it I gained like freaking 5kgs.. O.o Time to hit the tart shop, er I meant track.. XD

Also I hope to improve my spiritual life.. I still feel it's stuck at the same level since year 2.. =.=" Really need to improve on it.. Pray more often, read the Word more often.. Do something that's worthwhile at least.. And of course to help in every way either in church or in CF.. No more helping around campus, I think the 2 years I have sacrifice to so many events here is more than enough.. Heck, all I wanted to do was to come to study and stay low profile.. Guess that worked pretty well, didn't it?? *sarcasm*

Since there are still fellow readers out there reading my blog, silently or not, I guess I'll keep this blog running.. Sorry for breaking my promise of updating it constantly, guess laziness and an empty mind got the better of me.. I guess there'll be an interesting update tomorrow.. Haha.. Just a teaser, it's about my idea of the grass is greener over the other side.. *refer to my FB status* XD

Nitez people!! God bless u all!! =D

P.S. To all my friends who are sitting for their supplementary examination in about 5 hours time, be strong and just do it k.. U have done ur preparations well, now it's just the final battle in order to move forward.. God is with you in everything that you do.. =)

random ranting

If you can't have unity in a batch of 200 students; how are the 200 going to face the workforce of 20k doctors in the future?? How are they going to work together with MOH, MMC and MMA if such simple things in a batch become like WW3?? It's crazy and it's plain dumb..

JUST CONCENTRATE ON THE TASK THAT'S AHEAD OF US!!!

As one senior told me, take things one step at a time; complete your Year 2 first before thinking about Year 3; complete your Year 5 before thinking about houseman-ship, complete your MO before thinking about specialization.. Chillax people, we still got the whole world ahead of us..

P.S. Really beh syok some people in the batch who happily target some people while thinking they themselves have no fault at all.. You may hide in front the face of men, but you cannot hide from God..

When groupings become an issue

Recently it was announced that for my 3rd year hospital posting, we are to be divided into 4 groups.. And we have to choose our own groups.. And that the group must have a balance in terms of gender and race.. "Fine, that should be no problem;" so I thought.. I mean how hard could it be? Form a group of 18/19 with your friends, settle the transport issue and off we go..

How wrong could I be.. The whole grouping team has really shaken the unity of the batch.. And if there was no unity in the first place, it's going to be harder to have unity now.. The reason being so is that some people have different ways of forming groups.. And since everyone has different opinion, it leads to conflicts and problems.. One chooses people who the person wants, rejecting others; another says to a group you can all join but A cannot join; one group has a terrible miscommunication which leads to the break up of that group; another had their friendship destroyed (and restored again, thank God) and still got others who "senju" their friends to the max, may it be housemates, good friends, etc..

In addition to that, you have one person who decides to bypass everything and see the higher up.. For the good of the batch yes; but of course if discussed appropriately.. Now that's another war altogether.. And to top it all up, here is a quote from one of my friends; "In order to be equal in race, people become more racist." Speaks a lot doesn't it? How can then this choosing of groups be a good idea if it breaks heart and destroys friendship? How can it be good if one feels like the whole world is against that person while another has too many people asking that person to join their groups? Alas, not everyone is satisfied.. I did suggest we just stick to the name list or the PBL groupings but it would be very lopsided.. It wouldn't be fair for those leaving outside of campus next year..

So how do you solve an issue which has so much problems? Which actually brings out the very nature of human beings? Well, it can if everyone cooperates but sadly, that's one thing which is very hard to achieve.. Personal experience for 2 years in this course.. In the end, I pray everything will turn out alright, that the people in their respective groups will be satisfied, that those with broken hearts and friendships will be mended and healed and that no one will be affected in their finals; which is by far the most important things right now..

Disclaimer: The above rant is my own thoughts of the matter after gathering various information from people around me and may not represent the true scenario of the whole situation, which could be better or worst..

End of the final CA

Going to forgo my idea not posting till 14th july and will post one now..

My final CA for the year, Renal & Haematology System was completed this morning.. And boy was it the worst paper yet.. It's even harder than CNS, can u believe that?? I'm going to shoot those seniors who have been telling me "Ah.. It's a piece of cake.." Really kena senju man.. -.-"

That aside, I've come to the conclusion of my CA examinations and now the real battle begins.. 3 gruesome weeks of n0n-stop studying for finals.. Look on the bright side, no more classes, no more assignments, no more boring-i-will-definitely-sleep-in-class lectures.. XD Yet something tells me all is not well for this coming finals.. Don't know, just feel something is not right somewhere.. Ah.. Why worry.. Everything is determined by God, I have to work hard but in the end my future is determine by Him.. He has put me here, He has His purpose.. =D

On a positive note, me and her have begin to talk again.. I guess that's a very good sign.. Still will take time but at least we're heading into the correct path again.. Learned my lesson well, now to move on with life.. =)

Well, I got the whole weekend ahead.. Probably won't study or something like that.. Will see how, just tired of the whole thing for now.. LOL.. And I still got one last histo assignment to do.. Plus EPP exam in 12hours time.. What a bummer.. >.< Better get going then.. Toodles.. XD

Ending of MBBS 2nd year

So my second year classes have come to an end with the final lecture on last Thursday.. Time sure pass pretty fast for me and all of us here in AIMST University.. One moment I was beginning a brand new year, all excited about the new things I was going to learn, next I'm studying like crazy (OK. not that hard, been pretty lazy actually) for my coming CA and then Finals on 24th June.. Wow, less than a month away to my finals.. Pretty scary stuff if u ask me.. Everyone has to go through it in the end I guess, no two ways about it..

So 2nd year has been a topsy turvy year.. Organized a few events, did some stuff and my breakup with my gf.. So yeah, lots of drama.. Not to mention the drama in class, among friends, in university and so forth.. Just hope things will get better during 3rd year.. At least for the batch.. I'm sure last Thursday sarcasm by our Deputy Dean is a wake up call for all of us.. If not we are really really ignorant of the severity of the current situation..

I've begin to serve in my church praise and worship ministry.. PTL for giving me the opportunity to play for Him.. What great joy is to worship in front of the Lord.. Hopefully I'll step up more in my spiritual growth.. Still many areas for me to improve.. =)

So guess I won't be posting till after my finals, which will end on 14th July.. All the best to everyone out there.. =) GAMBATEH and God bless u all!! =D

Hospital Posting

"Patient is a 65 year old female who came in with complains of swelling below the knee for one month and high fever for the past 2 days. History taking shows that she has...."

Yup, that's practically what I'm going through for most of the days last week and again this week.. I'm currently in my 2 week introductory hospital posting in SP and thou it's fun and interesting, it's very tiring and the doctors there really know how to make u look stupid.. @.@ I kinda am annoyed with myself cause I can't answer anything the clinicians ask.. Or it'll be some half baked answer and the doctor will be doing an eye roll.. So yeah, u so have to buck up JASON TAN SENG HONG!!!

And hospital people are really no pushovers.. I mean when u enter, u r like an ant compare to those out there.. And the administration don't really give a two hoots about u either.. Take last week for example.. We met with this surgeon who I think is a bit racist.. Well, he seems to find fault with everyone's dressing.. My friend's brown formal shoe also kena kutuk like it was the biggest sin on Earth.. And the best thing is we can't do shit.. Cause as I said, ur a nobody in the hospital.. If our lecturers can't do anything, what more can we? So yeah, have to learn to this new political environment.. Sighs.. When will this ever end? Oh yeah that are also those who don't care about ur feelings and all.. I mean how would u like it if ppl start calling u names over and over again in a establishment? Welcome to Malaysia people, where name calling is a joke for many but the one who is being teased.. =S

On a happier note, I can to see lots of patients and cases.. At least now I know what an inguinal hernia or a SLE patient looks like.. And I've definitely learned a lot.. Just wondering how is that going well with my tiny brain.. =p

Mega Cultural Night was somewhat a success.. We had sad lighting and sound system, but the performances were awesome.. Kudos to all those who have put in their time and effort to bring that event to a success.. =)

My CF Retreat is coming this Friday.. Followed by many other events like AIMST Pre-Clinical Quiz, AIMST Amazing Race + Fear Factor and AIMST Hosteller's Night.. Wow.. I'm going to be sooooo drained by the time April is over.. Mind u the last 3 events are in April, in the space of 2 weeks.. T.T

Nothing else much to update.. Just waiting for the holidays to come.. The final 2 weeks break that is before I struggle all the way to my finals.. Why oh why my final break is only 3 weeks??? *ponders about it*

Nights.. XD

CA Over, what's next?

It's been nearly a month since my last post.. Wait, it's already a month.. What the..

Blame it on my busy schedule and poor internet connection in AIMST.. Seriously has those WiFi users any sense of humanity in them? When u keep on using ur ADSL WiFi Routers, it clashes with the uni's IP Address and thus destroying the internet line for almost everyone except the users.. So to those who are using it, THROW IT AWAY!! Or I'll help u do it!! XD

4th assessment of Year 2 just finished yesterday.. And for the first time in a very long time I really fear I can fail the paper.. Whatever I studied didn't come out, and those I could barely remember did.. So yeah, my fault for not putting much effort into it.. And yet I thank the Lord for showing to me that life is still full of bumpy roads, I'll take this setback to push on further.. Who knows maybe I'll score A for the next two systems.. *syok sendiri*

My hospital posting is starting tomorrow but won't be going cause I'M IN SEREMBAN NOW!!! Haha.. Only for 2 days then I'm back.. Really looking forward to it because it's something new to me, and it could be very interesting.. Probably will get to see some really rare cases after all, if there's any.. =)

Nothing much to update.. Just going to get busy again.. Planning for the Hosteller's Night, getting involved in both the Mega Cultural Night and CF Retreat and not to mention all those electives assignments, presentations and lastly, my Special Study Module (SSM).. A really deserved 6 weeks to catch up on all those, recharge my batteries and give a final push towards the finals..

Till the next update.. =)

1st week of CNS and I see an ass.. XD

So I have done 18 lectures, 2 clinical skill sessions, 1 ADH and 1 lab session.. That's pretty much my first week of the CNS.. Crazy maybe an understatement for last week.. Classes from 8am to 5pm.. Not to mention my in betweens like paying the fees.. That one cost me the first anat class of the year.. Cuz got stucked in the bank for an hour.. -.-" Oh well, now I'm getting the real taste of MBBS.. LOL!!

That aside, it has been pretty much a dull affair here in Farmer's River.. Haha.. Went out to HotMas on Thurs with my beloved.. Still gotta say the food there is totally awesome and worth it.. U don't get a large piece of chicken maryland for only RM9.50.. XD Another memorable date with her.. Haha.. Maybe the last one for this system as the workload is piling.. Oh, did I mention I had an anatomy assignment??!! That's a first way.. What the heck..

CF retreat got postponed.. A bummer.. I'm still going Ipoh on Fri for the 1st FT Weekend 2011.. It'll be my first after since I entered AIMST.. It'll be so great to meet up with those people again.. I remember what happened last time round.. Haha.. XD And HILLSONGS IS COMING TO IPOH AGAIN!!! XD

Totally awesome right? In a stadium some more.. Who cares if they make a brief appearance? The thing is that God is really working something in Malaysia.. Open Christmas event in a stadium and inviting one of the most renown Christian bands to perform live? Seriously, if God is working a miracle, let us then be His humble servants and help the cause.. Praise be to God!!

Well, that's all from me now.. Hopefully I can go for the concert cum celebrations.. Hehe.. Good night world.. =)

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!

Hello 2011!!

OK, I'm late like 2 days but who cares.. It's still young in the year.. And before we all know it, 2012 comes along.. Haha.. But let's leave that till Dec'11.. For now, let us enjoy the year ahead.. =)

I'm back in AIMST again.. LOL!! To some ppl, yes, my holiday is really really short.. In fact, my finals break will be only 3 weeks.. So yeah, kinda sucks but no choice when ur in the line.. Hehe.. Part of me is glad to be back cause I get to go back to studying the thing I love.. And also can to c her.. Hehe.. Part of me just wanna stay at home, sleep whole day, play Dota and yam cha.. LOL!!

So usually people always make new year resolutions don't there? And we probably break the same number of resolutions that we make.. LOL!! So what's mine u all may ask?? None I guess.. To me, why make a resolution for a year only? Why not make one every month? Or every week? Like not procrastinate, be a better BF, a better son, worship God more, etc? So yeah, no resolutions for me, I'll be trying to improve myself daily..Hehe..

New Year in S'ban was kinda boring, no fireworks, no celebrations, no nothing.. Cutting budget I think.. So yeah, all I get to see was personal fireworks.. The one that goes bang, boom for 30secs and that's that.. LOL!! So was a modest 2011 so far for me.. Not for long thou, with the new CNS system coming up in my medicine studies, I'll be busy as a bee.. Or worse.. Haha..

So there u have it.. Nothing much to update.. And probably not much in the future as I begin classes again.. Hopefully the next update is not so far in the future.. LOL!!

after a month..

Wow, I can't believe it's been more than a month since my last post.. I guess this blog is really dying.. Actually, I have so many things to type out, but I'm just so oh lazy.. What to do, getting internet here is also a drag, dah lah my room 1.5 years no internet, the admin pulak buat tak tau until I really made noise last week.. Hopefully things will be resolved by this month.. XD

On studies, nothing much.. Finish Respiratory System exam, now starting Gastrointestinal System.. One after another, only been 3 months and I have done 2 exams and my 3rd is coming in a month time.. Sometimes I wonder why did I enter into this course? Then I say to myself, "Shut up Jason, this is what you wanted your whole life, you practically cried over it" *yeah, I did* So here I am, learning medical stuff, which is pretty awesome at times.. As in it really intrigues you how the body functions and how great is our God, for He created us to the finest of details, the greatest creator..

I'm more active in CF now.. More events are coming up and I'm 'in-charge' for 2 of em.. The Christmas Night and the CF Retreat Camp.. Somehow coming to AIMST has really improve my spiritual maturity.. Of course I'm still way off but compare when I was back in secondary school, I would say I'm more active now than ever.. And it was all down to that one faithful rainy day, when my friend Mei-Dree 'drag' me to the church, SPCC, even thou it was raining cats and dogs.. If she hasn't done that, I would probably back slided in AIMST like so many others.. So thanks Mei!!

So many other things pen up.. My relationship has its ups and downs.. I know I'm not the type of boy that you want and I probably can never be that kind of person.. I always have flaws and I always screw things up.. I just wanna thank you for being patient with me, putting up with my nonsense.. I just want you to know that I love you very much and I really hope things will just get better for us in the future.. Especially after a few events.. =)

So I guess that's all for now, 3am ady.. Time to hit the sacks.. Good night world!! God bless!! =)

Where politics begin..

Well, I have lots to blog about but just no time to pen it down.. Well, today I've finally decided to do one of my blog entries that has been bugging me for quite some time.. It's something called politics..

Now before u all going to say "Oh gosh, here's M'sia politics again", let me clarify that this time it's about university politics.. Yes, the politics at my university.. I'm pretty sure most of the unis in Malaysia have their student council elections rite? And of course everyone wants to win, nobody likes to lose.. Well, here at my uni, I finally saw for real how dirty politics can get..

There were 2 teams having a go at each other.. One was my friend's team, their members carefully selected.. The other a team which was hastily formed to counter my friend's team.. So it was a typical Malaysian style politic for you, banners of "VOTE FOR ME" around the cafe (and other places), manifestos and of course the dirtier side of politics.. What I meant by dirtier side is not that both the team were killing each other or what.. To me, both of the groups were having rather clean politics.. It was more of the supporters who were having a go at each other..

The day of the election came and the opposite team won, with the president winning a landslide victory.. Post-election shows 2-3 reasons why my friend's team lost..
1) There were just too many people who didn't wanted my friend.. U know what happens when u dun want BN and just vote the opposition? Same case here, but at least from what I know the winning team are really down to business.. At least that's a positive sign. =)

2) Majority of the people who know/supported my friend never really went to vote.. Gave excuses like lazy, line to long, go class whole day.. Bunch of lame excuses if you ask me.. The voter turn out was below 40%.. And to me, if you want to vote, you'll vote no matter how cramp your schedule is.. Sadly, my generation don't really see the importance of it.. Don't have to go far, a simple evaluation of lecturers is sometimes very difficult to conduct due to that attitude..

3) The election, in my opinion, was conducted rather poorly.. There was not much information about the location and time of the election.. I only knew about it in the afternoon prior to the day of the election.. So much emphasis was placed on the candidates that the EC simply forgot about mentioning the date and venue like a few days earlier.. Furthermore, many students who were eligible to vote were either away or having hospital classes or in Alor Setar.. So there's your majority of your voters..

Now, this is the 3rd Student Council Election in my university and I'm rather surprised by the whole process.. Even until now, some people are still talking about it even thou it's been like 2 weeks since the election..

However, there's one thing that I saw that totally confirm my opinion that politics in the uni is just same as in the country.. A very degrading video was posted about my friend in Facebook.. So degrading that a police investigation was required.. Now, it's only a uni level election but do you see the connection? We've been train from young to back stab each other, to 'kill' off each other and thus this is what you get at the national elections.. A very sad scenario indeed.. Remember the phrase "Don't point a finger at anyone, cause 3 fingers will be pointed back at you"? To whoever who did that, you know who you are.. God know who you are.. And believe me, God don't take this things lightly.. Something will happen, maybe not now but something will.. I won't be surprise if one day somebody is hand-cuffed by the police in my uni..

So that's the end of one of my many ramblings I have installed for you people.. Many more but I have to pick them carefully, as some matters are still ongoing while some has been resolved and it's best that we forget about them.. CHEERS!! =D

Random updates..

This was inevitable, my blog goes on hiatus when I am back in University.. Haha.. Kinda like a first year dilemma all over again.. LOL!!

So what's new that has been going on? Nothing much, except for the Merdeka celebration that occurred during the eve of Merdeka.. It was happening in AIMST, with the Ramadhan Bazaar, performances, parade and even a car parade!! And the whole night was just totally awesome.. Glad to see that AIMST is moving forward in trying to make the university more student orientated.. =) Hopefully more activities will happen soon..

On a personal note, I managed to study a few lectures over the weekend, so thats's a good sign.. And Raya is coming, the holiday that is.. Haha.. Potong stim rite? 2 weeks class then 1 week break.. Haha.. Overall, I'm loving every bit of year 2, I mean the new things we are studying and the practicals.. Haha.. Other than the part that we don't have time to study (or for me at least), everything is just great.. =D

So what's next?? Well, that's left to be seen.. As the saying goes."Cherish the past, enjoy the present, embrace the future" or something like that la.. Haha.. So till my next blog post, this blog is now on

HIATUS!!!!

Onward to 2nd yea....

6 weeks passed so fast.. And so many things I haven't done yet.. LOL!! Not yet finish reading my novels, not yet watch any of my downloaded series, not yet even prepare my sharing for CF coming September.. Haha.. So what have I've been doing?? Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!! XD

Guess I can say I'm looking forward to MBBS 2nd year.. New things to learn, new experiences, new friends to make (on this part, I mean juniors to bully!! XD) And also, to spend more time with HER!! =D Seriously, I feel that we're going stronger.. Guess that 'cool down' period wat good for the both of us.. Let's hope it last for a lifetime k.. =)

So here's to me, a 2nd year medical student.. Haha.. And I still haven't pack.. LOL!! But as I begin my new journey (well, a continuation actually); my blog will be inactive again.. Unless I find time.. Seriously, this is like the most active month for my blog.. LOL!!

Gotta go and pack now.. Sometimes I wish I had magic so that all this can just pack themselves.. *thinks about Soc App* Nah, better not.. XD

Fun FUn FUN!!!

My first post for APRIL!!! OMG, the post are really dwindling down.. From an average 10 a month to 5 and now 1??? So next month will be 0??!! Well, that's up to me, the blogger.. LOL!!

Since prom only 2-3 things happened.. Had something called Primary Care Interphase.. Basically we're are to go visit a Hospital or Klinik Kesihatan and do some survey there like pharmaceutical, administration, finance, etc.. I was lucky to get Hospital Yan for my PCI for 2 reasons:
1) It's a hospital (duh... means more fun things to do)
2) Food there was A-W-S-O-M-E!!! I mean, we literally bought all the chicken rice that was left for sale.. XD
Overall, the PCI was a very good experience.. Gives u an eye-opener to the reality of medical and health services today in Malaysia.. So I'll say, BULLSHIT to all of u who said Malaysia will be saturated with doctors soon.. For it'll never will be..

The next big thing that happen (to me la) was the CF Retreat at Stella Maris, Penang.. (just in case u all dunno where in the world it is, it's pretty near Island Plaza) One word, ROCKING!!! The retreat was just totally fun and also very very informative.. Great sharing by the pastor and everything went out smoothly.. Imagine playing Mafia till 3am in the morning, getting 'sued' in Court Marshall and playing all kinds of crazy games.. XD Loving and missing it..

Lastly, there was the orientation for the new April Foundation students here in AIMST.. Very nice, been a long time since I conducted an orientation and of course, get to know some juniors also.. But of course the ones who had the most fun was US, the organizers.. =p

That's all the update for now.. To all my friends who are sitting for their major exams, good luck and God bless u all.. And to everyone else, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! (ok, a bit late but I had no classes for 2 days this week = HOLIDAY!!)
