The dead blog that came back to live!!

Goodness, my last post was last October.. Seriously I have left this blog dead for too long.. Haha.. Guess it's time to start it up again.. However I really can't think of anything to post at the moment. So here is just a little update since last October.

Currently in my 4th year Term 2 of my MBBS Course, with another exam looming next week.. I've passed most of my papers from my 1st CA, failed one but I still thank God that I am able to sit for finals.. University is just bad as usual, so many lecturers leaving, I have no idea what the management is up to and Jaya food is well, being Jaya food.. And they can ask why so many students are leaving the hostel.. Get the hint already!!

Christmas was awesome, our AIMST CF Christmas Gig was a success again, all glory to God.. Chinese New Year was even more awesome despite the dwindling amounts of ang pau.. XD And I found a new hobby, posting pictures of food.. Haha.. Sound like your typical Malaysian but somehow it brings me joy to be able to share good food with the world.. And now I even have a group of friends who are 'torturing' each other with good food.. LOL!!

Seremban has grown a lot, lots of new shops, new hangout places, yet it still retains the slow pace live that most of us lack these days. Sungai Petani has a new mall, Amanjaya Mall and a few new shops opened.. So much has changed in the 4 years that I've been here.. Haha..

CF and Church (SPCC) has really grown, praise be to God.. The new committee has been formed, officially indicating my 'retirement' as P of the CF.. I really thank God for an awesome team, for the amount of changes our CF has gone through, new ideas that have been success and I pray that more will happen.. Church members have steadily been on the rise.. I'm now one of the student leaders there and even the assistant worship leader.. If you asked me when I first got here would I even be in the worship team I'll be like NEVER.. However God has a funny way of using us, and here I am guiding the juniors as I myself prepare to move on to Alor Setar..

Apart from that, I made new friends from the medical conference I attended back in September, hope to attend many more, missed out on the world in US because the cost became too high.. There's one coming up in April and another one in September, really hope I can attend these two to make up for the one I missed..

I guess that's a brief update on me for the past 6 months.. Until then.. =D

1st week of CNS and I see an ass.. XD

So I have done 18 lectures, 2 clinical skill sessions, 1 ADH and 1 lab session.. That's pretty much my first week of the CNS.. Crazy maybe an understatement for last week.. Classes from 8am to 5pm.. Not to mention my in betweens like paying the fees.. That one cost me the first anat class of the year.. Cuz got stucked in the bank for an hour.. -.-" Oh well, now I'm getting the real taste of MBBS.. LOL!!

That aside, it has been pretty much a dull affair here in Farmer's River.. Haha.. Went out to HotMas on Thurs with my beloved.. Still gotta say the food there is totally awesome and worth it.. U don't get a large piece of chicken maryland for only RM9.50.. XD Another memorable date with her.. Haha.. Maybe the last one for this system as the workload is piling.. Oh, did I mention I had an anatomy assignment??!! That's a first way.. What the heck..

CF retreat got postponed.. A bummer.. I'm still going Ipoh on Fri for the 1st FT Weekend 2011.. It'll be my first after since I entered AIMST.. It'll be so great to meet up with those people again.. I remember what happened last time round.. Haha.. XD And HILLSONGS IS COMING TO IPOH AGAIN!!! XD

Totally awesome right? In a stadium some more.. Who cares if they make a brief appearance? The thing is that God is really working something in Malaysia.. Open Christmas event in a stadium and inviting one of the most renown Christian bands to perform live? Seriously, if God is working a miracle, let us then be His humble servants and help the cause.. Praise be to God!!

Well, that's all from me now.. Hopefully I can go for the concert cum celebrations.. Hehe.. Good night world.. =)

Ramdom blabbling...

Come to think of it, I'm getting lazier and lazier to update my blog lately.. Guess I just lost interest in it, or just because what's nice to update?

Same old, same old.. Preparing for uni, counting the days of boredom left, eat, sleep, do the normal human stuff.. Plus my working days are practically over.. Of course, lately I've been hooked on manga.. Proof --> I finished the entire Naruto Shipsuden series under 1 week!!! Now I guess I'll have to start on something new, maybe I should reach Bleach.. Haha.. Finish that in 2 weeks.. LOL!!

Wonder how all my friends are doing in uni.. Are they able to adapt? Will they enjoy it there? Well, guess they should be fine in their respective courses and unis.. Although I did get some early feedbacks.. The dorm sucks, there's lacking of facilities, orientation cacat, this and that.. Well, I guess nothing is perfect in this world, and after all we're looking at local uni.. Maintenance might not be top class.. And so is the service.. I read a comment by a reader on Tuesday.. Seems that they was a technical glitch at one of the universities, a top one some more, delaying the registration process by up to 6 hours.. LOL!!! And thoughts that we learned our mistake after the USM fiasco..

Speaking on the USM fiasco, that could be one of the many reasons why some students *ahem ahem* couldn't get a place in public university.. Thanks to that glitch, some 4500 students had to be given a place because the gov promised to do so.. This 4500, acording to reports, are just people who made the minimum requirements.. So well, since they had to give, the 4500 deserving students who were supposedly to get a place were left out cold.. One of the teachers commented, "It's the gov problem if USM screw up, they can't make the students pay for their mistake. If they make a promise, they should find a way to keep that promise without jeopardising other students." Nicely said, guess that will be one of those comments that would never make it up top..

And MU signed Michael Owen.. What's up with that?? OK, look at it as this way, MU signed him for free and at a reduced wage structure (heard it was a pay as u play basis).. And if Owen can rediscover his form that made him such a feared footballer 5 years ago, then yes, it's seriously a good signing for MU.. What's next for MU?? Maybe they should sign some very good players in very needed departments, like Joao Moutinho, Sergio Aguero and Douglas Costa.. Then maybe we won't miss CR that much.. Haha.. And anyone noticed, that in this bad economy, Real Madrid is spending money like water.. Imagine if all those millions were used on a better cause for humanity.. Think about it.. =p

Interesting..

I just found out something today. The fact that a lot of PTS students sat for STPM last year.. I thought 10 in SPI was a lot.. Then one NUS hopeful told me that her class had 5 PTS students.. If that's one class, what about one whole school??!! =S

Furthermore, there's a lot of them going to Singapore.. I have found 3 of them going to Singapore to pursue their undergraduate degree.. Wow, talk about a wave of PTS students.. Guess the Gov was kinda wrong to abolish PTS after the 1991 batch.. Or maybe kinda right.. Haha.. I don't know.. All I know that PTS students rules!! (quoted from my friend)

Final ONE!!!

OK, it's down to the last paper, Chemistry 1.. Gosh, I need to score well in that to stand of any chance to achieve my target.. Dang.. PA 1 was not that bad and so was Biology 1, so hopefully Chemistry 1 will also been a breeze..

Anyway, I told you all I'll update on the dinner thing.. So here it goes.. 1st of all, the committee that handle the stuff notified us at the very last minute, let's say, the last day of school!! And they want us to do a split second decision.. Well, most people can't do that, so in the end most people didn't wanted to go.. Never mind that, next came the collection of the money.. At 1st I was told it was RM50, I was like WTH!!! Then it dropped to RM 35 and finally down to RM 30.. OK, so RM 30 for a buffet dinner at Royal Sungai Ujong Club.. It's the collection date that pissed me and most people off.. They (or somebody) wanted to collect it during our STPM exam!! Who in the world would do that??!! Obviously that plan backfired.. Luckily for them, most of us paid on the last day, which eventually led to 34 Upper Sixes going..

After that, there's this dresscode thing.. Some of my friends, including me, actually disagree with the dresscode.. Usually this things are kind of formal, so we expected formal wear.. Seems the dress code is smart casual, OK, not that bad.. What my friends are worried that some of us might misinterpret it as casual, and if teachers were to attend the function, well, you know what I mean.. And of course the final thing is the hall they were getting.. I understood that we got only 1/3 of the hall.. Well, I don't know how did that happpen, as far as I know, RSUC usually give 2/3 of the hall.. The committee must be riding their luck since only 1/3 of the Upper Sixes are going, but in the end you'll have to stuff 50+ people into that hall, hopefully it works out.. IT BETTER!!

So after all the ups and downs in this dinner that's coming, hopefully it'll turn out good, or not I can assure you the committee will get a word or two from my friends.. GOOD LUCK PEOLE, YOU'LL NEED IT!!!

D-Day

Oh yes, the day has arrive.. Er.. Well.. In another 20 hours or so.. So much things to remember, so little time and space left.. Nothing much that I can do.. I've given my best shot (I think).. now only I pray for the best.. But PA2, Chem 2, Maths 1 and Bio 2 in 3 days??!!! Give me a break.. I barely had time to settle for 2 but there's 4... OMG!!! I really need a miracle to pull this off..

To all STPM candidates out there.. GOOD LUCK AND MAY GOD BLESS U DURING THE EXAM!!

Burned Out??!!

Oh well, OK.. Reality is coming soon.. Unfortunately.. And I'm like trying my best to cover everything I can.. Problem is that it seems my mind is saturated with too many things.. It's like a hard drive that has reached it's maximum capacity.. Try as I might, it just won't get in, those tiny little facts.. To make matters worse, sometimes I can answer pretty well in an exercise.. Other times is like WTH is with this question.. It's sending me mix signals.. Maybe this is really the burn out syndrome.. Or it's just that I got bored of studying.. Studying 11 years is no joke man... Oh God, help me go through this once in a lifetime ordeal.. (Who am I kidding, I'll go through this hell everyday at Uni.. DAMN!!!) Somebody save.............. ME!!!!!! (-.-)"

1 WEEK LEFT!!

SPM started yesterday.. And now all we have left to look forward to is STPM.. That is the inevitable my friends.. You might be thinking, dang, wasn't STPM 7 months ago? Or 7 weeks? Now itz only 7 days left.. First paper, PA 2.. That's the usual stuff, try the next paper, Chem 2... 3 days of hell next week but after that i think i can relax, for a while la.. To regenerate my mental strength to go through maths 2.. LOL..

State Library is a nice place to study, but somehow itz not always that way.. Sure u've tonnes of reference book and the area is condusive, i mean everyone is studying, won't that like make u to study also? HAHA.. However, when u've friends over there, it might be a different scenario.. Somehow (maybe itz juz me) u'll end up talking, walking and eating more than studying.. After all, library is right in the middle of town, food is a plenty.. LOL.. So i work best at home, i think..

And of course lastly, i heard a friend who drives like a real maniac.. A friend of mine entered his car one day, and wow.. My friend was given a heart attack by the way he drives.. Not only that, i got 2-3 people to back up that story, brakes only at the last minute, speeds around like he owns the road.. No wonder he's car looks 'older' than mine... :p There's no advantage in driving fast, only using more fuel to save a few seconds.. Burns your pocket faster.. So to all out there, do drive carefully.. [names are withheld to protect the innocent] =)
