Weekend away from home..

3am here.. And i'm blogging.. Amazing.. Well, I'm currently in Ipoh, more specifically La Salle Centre at SMI.. What in the world I'm doing here again? Well, it's the 1st FT Meeting for the year 2009 and well, since i'm so free, why not come again.. It's good to see a few old NLLC friends as well meeting new ones.. And the sessions were great.. Jerald Joseph was our facilitator this time and mind u, he's probably one of the best La Sallian there is.. Not afraid to speak his mind, dedicated to his NGO and his work and yes, a few bust up with the law.. However he is still a cool guy.. *salutes*

Looking around, seeing a few delegates still awake.. With the SPI gang in full force.. Paul, Theish, Narvin, Hui Ling and er... Where's Kartig? Damn, must be sleeping, he's been sleeping early these days.. Or maybe having his private time with .... (go figure) FT Meeting is fun.. It's always fun to come back Ipoh, eat lots and lots of food and of course hang out with crazy people from all over the country.. Sadly there's no pictures to be uploaded here.. Will be getting pics from Chow's party soon, will upload it ASAP before some of u complain my blog is darn bored..

And we all have to admit t-man is getting desperate in his ever losing war against me.. Smart of him to use my initials to reply a msg tat is to his liking, except he forgot one vy vy important thing.. Just click on tat specific initials and u noe wat i meant.. Oh well, nothing much to blog about.. Oh ya.. LIVERPOOL LOST!! And ARSENAL SUCK!! Later ppl.. =D

It came back...

My internet connection came back today.. After I made a complaint aka Technical Assistance.. They said it could be my modem problem but half an hour later everything was working fine.. Still doesnt change my stance that Streamyx is just so-so.. However, the TM people are quite friendly.. Everytime I call 100, they are always willing to help.. I guess in all this mess, it's good to know that our Customer Service Personels isnt so bad after all.. Keep it up!!

WTF Streamyx..

STREAMYX IS GAY!!!! One whole day I can't enter into it.. It's been shitty for the last few days and now it just died on me.. A few of my friends are also facing the same problem.. WTH man.. I pay RM 66 a month to get this shit??!! TM makes hell a lot of cash but dunno how to use it to upgrade it services, say optic fibres??!! Baskets useless fellows.. Damn.. I'm on TM Net now, which is currently more reliable then Streamyx.. Somebody please knock some sense to those TM people!!!

Btw, there's are updates to my little plans for melaka and genting.. The plans earlier posted have been changed.. Contact me for the latest updates..

Sports Day at SPI

Yesterday was SPI's er.... 52nd Annual Sports Day if I haven't mistaken.. It was nice to actually to go back and visit the school.. Seeing friends and teachers all over again, having a great chat with them.. Part of me still wants to be in school.. It's possibly the best part of my life.. Yes.. We all know how we always say when will school end la, lazy to wake up early, happy when the holidays come.. However when u look at it, especially when u've finished ur final paper, having a long holiday knowing that you would never ever study there again, you sometimes wish time moved slower, so u'll be able to savour every moment that school life has to offer.. Of course, not everyone share these thoughts..

Usually Sports Day is a day of fun, a day to relax actually and to get sunburn.. =p Just like the PIBG chairman said, forget about studies, forget about exams.. Just go out there and enjoy.. However, this could me again, this year's Sports Day doesn't feel the same like last year.. Like the atmosphere is not there.. Something is missing, the spirit of it all.. It makes me wonder, will this continue to worsen as we move forward into the future? Will school just be another boring place, like a factory producing leaders of tomorrow.. Where's the fun, the excitement, the spirit? Every year, students who enter secondary school are different.. That's obvious, there's never a similarity between students of yesteryear's and today.. Unfortunately students these days are more protected, more into the electronic age.. Some of them are pampered, I even heard that a F3 boy is still being spoon fed by his mum.. Parents are protective, sure, that the nature of all parents, but over protection? Will it do them any good?

It just disturbs me to see the school, not only SPI but others as well, the traditions slowly dying, the spirit leaving.. Thou there are a handful who try to keep it going, nothing much can be done.. How will the future education be? Student going to school like robots going to a place for input? I dare not say and I wish I am wrong.. Only time will tell.. Oh yeah, btw, Adrian got 5th this year, that's a whump since they were champions last year, my ex-house John got 3rd and I think Director was the Champion..

Life is so fragile..

What is life? Many people ponder on such a question, yet very few if any can find an answer to it.. We all may have different interpretation of it... Some say it's a routine, others say it's a new adventure that is waiting to be discovered everyday and yet there are those who just whine it's boring.. I'm still trying to grasp it, understanding it..

Last week I came to heard that a fellow Paulian had died tragically in an accident.. I do not know him, however another incident that happened to him brings back sad memories of my friends who have long gone to see the Almighty.. Who knew that a prayer at the temple, just a humble servant in the face of the Lord seeking blessings, would be the last thing he'll ever do before his day even begin.. On the way back from the temple, he was hit by an oncoming car while crossing the road early morning and died on the spot.. A boy's life just ended before he could even have a taste of what life has to offer..

As I said, it brings back bitter memories.. Nearly two years ago, a friend of mine died in a motor accident.. And a year later, another friend in a car accident.. People come into and leave this world every minute, however for a person's life to be ended shortly, unpredicted, well, sometimes it's a bitter pill to swallow.. We always say God love the deceased more and thus recalled him back to his side.. If life is such a fragile thing that could break at the slightest of vibrations, we should all be thankful that each day we're able to wake up from bed and live another day..

Thus my friends, appreciate life.. Do not whine or complain, although everyone including myself does that from time to time.. Thank God that we're given a chance to come into this world and to enjoy it's offerings.. Live life to the fullest, do not let it go to waste with some immoral activities.. There probably many people out there who couldn't enjoy life because of many reasons which will be too long to be posted here.. I leave you all with a poem I received from a friend..

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever
watched kids

On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to
the rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a
butterfly's erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading
night?

You better slow down.

Don't dance so
fast

Time is short.

The music won't
last

Do you run through each day

On the
fly?

When you ask How are you?

Do you hear the
reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie in your
bed

With the next hundred chores

Running through
your head?

You'd better slow down

Don't dance so
fast

Time is short.

The music won't
last

Ever told your child,

We'll do it
tomorrow?

And in your haste,

Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,

Let a good
friendship die

Cause you never had time

To call and say,'Hi'

You'd better slow down.

Don't dance
so fast.

Time is short.

The music won't
last

When you run so fast to get somewhere

You
miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry
through your day,

It is like an unopened gift...

Thrown away.

Life is not a
race

Do take it slower

Hear the
music

Before the song is over.

9. I still sleep with my mum.
10. A funny story to that which would not be revealed.
11. I love reading books.

13. I like being alone, it brings peace.
14. I hate backstabers.
15. I drive like a reckless maniac.

17. I'm on the net most of the time.
18. I don't know what I want to do for the future.
19. I love food, simply adore them.
20. Guess that's why I'm fat.
21. Sleep is good, I can do it the whole day.

A little here, a little there..

So how has the CNY been? Well, other for my visit to Ipoh, which I do practically every year as far as I can remember, nothing much has happen since.. Tomorrow will be going to do some bai nian at some teacher's houses.. I think they'll appreciate that some of us do still remember them.. Then there's a Chap Goh Mei gathering at my aunt's place, of course it's held earlier on Saturday since everyone is working on Monday.. And I'm already starting work my dad.. People are desperately looking for jobs, I'm just glad I've found one close to home..

University applications have officially open.. However, like my friends, I'm still at a blur to what to apply.. LOL.. U can't actually do much if you don't know how your results will be.. And i dare not hope for it.. Went to Theish's house last Sat for Sara's farewell.. It was nice to see a few old friends and make new ones.. That's was the only highlight for like the past 1 week?? Of course it's sad to see friends leave, especially the country, but we all have our own paths to choose from now on, to decide which road is to be taken for our future.. If everyone wanted to do what their friends are doing, then I guess that's going to be plain bore..

Nothing much to say now.. Cause nothing much has happened.. Haha.. To all who are working, hope you enjoy your work.. I know a friend who is holding back her studies to work for one year.. Either the job requires it or she's waiting for her bf.. God knows.. And to all those who are as lazy as me out there, enjoy your holidays as much as possible, for as many have said, you won't get this chance when u enter uni.. Cheers!!
